Time

Friday by Amy DiMare

Well the week is coming to a close and I still haven't made any new art. Bummer.

My sister was in town this past week and she kept me busy playing outside and catching up on life. Even though I didn't have time to make art, I was enjoying the time I was spending with my sister. I did take a few moments every now and then to take a few snap shots of our adventures and even though they may not seen like much, they are beautiful moments to me.

If there's one thing I've learned while my sister was here, is to enjoy the silly things in life. Like swimming in the river, it's something that I do often and I think it's just apart of life but not everyone can say their local swimming hole is the Colorado river. Each day that spend in this town I only love it more and more. I talk a lot about wanting to travel and live in different places but I know I'll always want to come back to the Utah desert. I love it here and it will continue to inspire me. If only I could find the time to create something from that inspiration.

Snap shots of life by Amy DiMare

My life has been very busy lately doing things that don't involve making art and I'm struggling to keep my website up to date. I want to use this blog to show my viewers, supporters, and followers what my day to day life is all about.

Right now things are moving slow, graduation was nearly four months ago and I haven't had nearly enough art in my life since then. I have plenty of great project ideas brewing in my head but I can't seem to find the time to actually create anything. Working at a campground in a tourism based town as become much more of a full time job than I had intended and have little time for anything else besides sleeping and eating.

So when there is a slow moment at work I'm goig to make a short post about my day or week, along with some snap shot photos of interesting or cool looking things that I've seen recently. I'm hoping that this small effort to post something about art as often as I can will keep my passion flowing and keep me excited about art and photography.

Its amazes me that I live in such a great place and have such a hard time posting about it. So from now on I'm posting as often as possible about art, my life, and the places I go to.
